Episode 33: Overcoming A Business Divorce + Getting Your Happiness In Check With Jessica Zweig Of Simply Be

This week I’m talking to one of the most driven and successful women I know, Jessica Zweig of Simply Be. A few weeks leading up to this interview, Jessica told me that she really wanted to “get real” during our interview. And that we did.
Jessica and I discuss exactly what we thought of each other the first time we met, the breakdown that led her to one the biggest decisions of her life, leaving her business and coping with a business divorce, finding love outside her “type”, and the best piece of advice her pops gave her on starting a business.

May 28, 2015I really, really enjoyed this podcast.
I dated all the wrong guys up until last year, then I met a guy that I would have never considered dating a few years ago – thank goodness I opened my mind!
I have so many girlfriends who are gorgeous and well put together that have trouble meeting guys. It blows my mind to see less qualified or less put together women getting married while the more qualified ones can’t find a guy to save their lives! Gah!

June 28, 2015Jessica, I’m so grateful I found your podcast 2 months ago. To be transparent (like you are on the show) I clicked on your thumbnail on iTunes because of your hat (I’ve been searching for one similar) and the ratings were great. I love that your guests are RELATABLE even though many are doing really BIG things and are successful. It feels like two friends having a conversation. This episode in particular was very insightful and uplifting. Thanks for sharing these conversations. It makes my week!

June 29, 2015Hats bring people together…they do! By the way, that hat is from Optimo in Chicago. Thanks so much for listening and hope to see you more around here!

September 23, 2015Was so great to hear this — having gone through a business break-up (about 1.5 years ago) — and having every emotion you both describe… so glad to not be alone (I generally talk to no one about it!) and so hopeful that maybe, sometime about 2.5 years from now, maybe it will feel a little different. 😉 Thank you!
