Hey team! Wanted to make sure you had everything you needed to start promoting.
On this page, you’ll find graphics to share and get inspired by, in addition to, a clear mission statement and guidelines to reference when talking about One Part Plant.
What is One Part Plant?
OPP is an eating philosophy and mission; it means at least one meal a day is made up of real, whole, plant-based foods. One. OPP is not some crazy diet with a list of forbidden foods you can never eat again, and it doesn’t require you to join a culty food tribe with a million rules. OPP is about making plants the star of the show for one meal a day. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner—you pick. Once a day you’ll create, pick up, or order in (no shame in that) a plant-based meal. A new Meatless Monday (but everyday!)
What does whole foods plant-based mean?
Foods that are minimally processed or not processed at all—veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, grains, and legumes. Plant-based means that these foods come from the ground and the trees and are not derived from animals (although many plant-based eaters consume honey).
The OPP movement is about adding to your diet, not focused on what you “can’t have”. With that, please note, plant-based does not include cheese produced from any kind of animal, dairy, meat, eggs, processed foods. It does include filling plant-based meals that is more than a side of carrots or side salad.
Is it vegan?
In terms of language when you’re sharing specifically about the One Part Plant book and mission, please
do not use the word “vegan” (this book does use honey). It’s cool if you want to hashtag a recipe from the
book as #vegan if it truly is. “Plant-based”, “whole foods”, “whole foods plant-based” are great words to use when talking about One Part Plant. You can also simply use “real food” or “food that tastes good”! No labels are needed, unless your audience prefers them.
Please remember to be kind and not assume this is easy for everyone.
Eating One Part Plant (one plant-based meal a day) is a new concept for a lot of people. Please use compassionate language, an open-mind and let them know it isn’t about being perfect. This is not an all-or-nothing plan. This is all about trying something new. I never want us to “should” people into trying anything.

Feel free to drag any image to your desktop or save directly onto your phone. I’ve included some images of some of the dishes below too. Please make sure to credit them to the One Part Plant cookbook when using them. Please make sure to use the #onepartplant tag or #oppcookbook when sharing.
But I’m excited to see your food images too! So do not feel that you have to use these.
I’ll be trying to add new images every week, so check back.
Let us know if you have any questions!
Thanks so much for all your hard work on this.
