November 30, 2017I listened to this podcast – very interesting and I LOVE your interview style/questions/clarifications (as well as your voice – amazing voice. I hope this doesnt make you uncomfortable, but your voice is sexy – I am envious).
One thing that spiked my concern is what Amy Medling mentioned about the pill and libido – that the pill lessens and and that a lot of women can never come back from that??!
I believe you said in the podcast that you will be doing a future podcast on the pill so if you could clarify/add to that I would really appreciate it.
I personally have suffered from illness for years that turned out to be celiac disease but because my symptoms manifested oddly I was put on the pill and anti depressants (two mood killers) for years. I am now trying to heal myself through diet and get some good bodily functions back. Tips appreciated!

December 1, 2017Yes, we do have a pill episode coming up next season and we’ll be discussing the pill and effects at length. In the meantime, check out Dr. Jolene Brighten. She has tons of information about this topic. P.S. And I’ll take the sexy voice compliment! Thanks.

December 15, 2017This was nice to hear. Im not sure what I had but since I was in high school I kepts seeing the dr because of a pain I had. They didnt really give me an answer but put me on BC.
Fast forward to when I was 20 I ended up going to the hospital because something on my side hurt. It was a pain I could not bare. After being at the hoapital for 5 hours… They said it was a cyst rupture. This would be the first of many. I would go to the dr and theh would say oh there is fluid a cyst ruptured…. But nothing could be done about it..
I stopped going to the doctor and everytime it happened I Just took at warm bath.
I did get pregnant unexpectly at 23 and I had ANOTHER rupture. Nothing they can do.
Well after i had my daughter I started taking birth control. The implant. DO NOT GET THIS. SERIOUSLY REGRET. My period was crazy. My cramps sucked. The only thing was… My cycsts didnt feel like they ruptured.
In January 2017 I decided to make changes to my diet and wanted to live a more clean lifestyle for my body. In Febuary I got the BC taken out. Doctors trying to talk me into birth control again… No.
After that, i had 1 more cyst rupture. They told me it could have been because i took the BC out my hormones could have cause the rupture.
Now, still on a vegan diet I keep track of my period and its alway thr same number of days in cycle. I have not had a cyst rupture AND most of time I cannot tell im on my period.
1- no doctor can tell me diet does not help.
2- BC should not be the answer to every womens body problem.
I’m really glad I found your podcast. It was a little after I made these changes but when you talked about how doctors didn’t believe you and your diet helped with your endo I finally felt like I was not alone. I understood now why doctors were not helping.
Sorry this was so long. I felt inspired to share my story. Lol
Thank you for what you do!
