My Home On Neighborhooding

Last week I was featured on Lauren Painter’s very cool site, Neighborhooding. She interviewed me about why I love my neighborhood and home (you can see all my answers here). Lauren’s site rules. Especially if you’re a creeper like me and love looking into other people’s homes.
As I looked at all the photos of my place, I got a little weepy about all that has happened there. This was the place where D and I waited to be chosen for our little babe. Which meant lots of weekends of drinking mezcal by the fire and eating ridiculous amounts of Native nachos. And when it finally happened, this was the place where we brought our baby Sid home. The place where all of our friends and family met him for the first time. WOOOH. I’m not gonna cry. I’m not gonna cry.
I also started my podcast here, really learned to cook here, had long dinner parties with friends here, had dance parties here, had so many Flower Fridays here, and snuggled and loved my little family on that big zebra couch more days and nights than I can remember here.
At the end of September, we’ll be leaving this apartment. And I’m pretty sad about it. And it’s not just because we live across the street from Whole Foods (ok, it ups the sadness factor a little). I told D about how looking at the photos on Neighborhooding made it so much harder to leave. And he said that he’s just glad that this special place was captured on film. OH DAN, always with the perfect thing to say.
Also, I’m also looking for a subleaser…so if you know anyone looking or you’ve got your eye on a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom place downtown that’s the most perfect apartment ever (I promise I won’t stand outside and cry because I miss it), email me at hola (at) onepartplant.com and I’ll give you the details. And that leopard wallpaper is removable if it’s not your thing. I’ll even take it down myself. I just want someone to love this place and have the best time ever here too.
Thanks M Lindsay Photography for these beautiful shots and Lauren Painter at Neighborhooding for featuring us!
