I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – one of my dreams in life is to have a lemon tree in my backyard. To be able to wake up and pluck a little yellow dude to start the day would be so awesome. Before I changed my diet, I bought lemons maybe once a month. And they weren’t for making food, they were for making cocktails. Now, I go through 7-10 a week…for my morning lemon water, salad dressings, and lots of juices. When I don’t have any on hand, I freak a little because they’re such a part of my daily routine.
I think one of the reasons my body started craving them so much is that they’re so alkalizing, which helps your body get more balanced. Start off your day with some hot water and lemon and see what happens. I promise that after a week, you’ll feel a little change. There’s also evidence that lemons can whiten your teeth too.
