When I first changed my diet, it was really hard to dine out with friends without feeling overwhelmed. I didn’t want to ask the waiter for a million substitutions and have my diet be such drama. But I also didn’t want to have to drag my friends to “healthy” restaurants every time we went out. So I decided to do something about it.
In 2013, I launched the One Part Plant restaurant program. I asked some of the best chefs and restaurants in the country to add plant-based dishes to their menus. And lots of them said yes! In addition to their traditional menus, they each now offer at least one plant-based dish, making it easy for all types of food lovers to enjoy great meals together.
