Episode 56: Honoring Your Past, Present, And Future With Grace Bonney Of In The Company Of Women

Grace Bonney is back. You might remember her from a Freak Your Week appearance this past winter. But those episodes are short. And I needed MORE GRACE. So I asked her to come back to talk about her latest project (her new book, In The Company Of Women).
Grace and I talk about how the lack of diversity in the media inspired her latest project, how she battles to find the balance between full speed and reverse, the biggest professional struggle she’s dealing with right now, and how she broke one of her biggest rules to create a brand new project – which she’s announcing for the first time here!

August 30, 2016holy sh*t. my mouth dropped open when you said what happened to your stepmom. how terrifying. when I was in high school, the doorbell rang late one night, and I answered it to find two cops at the front door there to tell my dad that my grandma had fallen in the street, broken her hip, and then a moving truck backed over her and killed her. the consolation we had from that is that my grandma most likely had passed out before being hit. I can only imagine the mental trauma your stepmom is going to have to work through. life is weird. love and light to Deb and your fam.
anyways, off to happier things, like ordering smoothies. 🙂

September 6, 2016Julie, I’m so sorry you had to go through this. Thanks so much for sharing this story and then having a sense of positivity about it…and ordering smoothies. Luckily Deb seems to be as sassy and feisty as ever and hoping she’ll be back in action soon. Love to your fam too.
