With its dim lighting and incredible design, Sable Kitchen & Bar is handsome and glamorous at the same time. Named in honor of Jean Baptise Point du Sable, it’s a romantically homey spot. And a packed one, almost every night. It boasts a 40 foot bar (one of the largest in Chicago) and serves up some of the most unique cocktails around…backed by the region’s largest selections of amber spirits.
On most days (and nights), you’ll find Chef Heather Terhune doing what she does best in the beautiful open kitchen in Sable’s lounge. She’s a true pro at making ingredient-driven food that is both simple in preparation and comforting to the belly. And while she’s often recognized nowadays for her stint on Bravo’s Top Chef Texas (she made it to the final ten), she’s been an integral part of the Chicago food scene for over a decade. She welcomed us into her kitchen with open arms, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what she’s got in store.
